4 weeks. Up to 8 sessions. £49.
Starting BJJ can feel a bit daunting when everyone around you seems to know what they're doing.
That's why we made the E17 BJJ Intro Course.
You'll spend four weeks learning the basics, getting familiar with the main positions and understanding how BJJ actually works, all at your own pace.
And because the course is rolling, you can join us anytime. Your four weeks start when you do, so there's no waiting around for the next course to begin.
No experience needed. Just come down, meet the team and start learning.

What Will I Learn?
Four weeks to give you a proper introduction to BJJ. Each week focuses on a different part of the game, helping you understand what’s happening and what you’re actually trying to do when you step onto the mats.
Week 1
Takedowns & Guard Passing
We’ll start on our feet. Learn a few simple ways to safely bring your partner to the ground, before looking at how to get past their legs and into a strong positions before finally learning a submission
Week 2
Guard Pulling, Frames & Sweeps
Not every round needs to start with a takedown. This week you’ll learn how to bring the fight to the ground on your terms, use your arms and legs to create space, and turn a bottom position into a top one.
Week 3
Closed Guard Control & Attacks
Learn how to make one of BJJ’s most important positions work for you. We’ll look at using your legs and grips to control your partner, manage distance, break their posture and create openings for some of your first attacks and submissions.
Week 4
Escapes & Survival
Getting stuck underneath someone is part of BJJ, especially when you're new! We’ll show you how to stay calm, protect yourself, create space and work your way back to a better position.
And then we go again.
The course runs on a rolling four-week cycle, so you can join at any point. Whichever week you start on becomes your Week 1, and over your four weeks you'll cover the full cycle.
No need to wait for a new course to start. Just pick your first class and come join us.
