Safeguarding, Conduct and Reporting

Our Commitment

At E17 BJJ, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive training environment for everyone who trains with us.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a close contact sport built on trust. That trust must never be abused. Safeguarding is not an afterthought. It is a core part of how we operate as a gym and a community.

We take all concerns seriously and have clear procedures in place to support anyone who experiences or witnesses inappropriate behaviour.

Who This Applies To

Our safeguarding approach applies to:

  • All members and visitors

  • Coaches and assistant instructors

  • Staff and volunteers

  • Anyone representing E17 BJJ on or off the mats

Our Standards

Everyone at E17 BJJ is expected to:

  • Treat others with respect and dignity

  • Engage in physical contact only as required for training

  • Respect boundaries, consent, and tap outs

  • Communicate clearly and appropriately

  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive gym culture

We have zero tolerance for harassment, abuse, discrimination, or misuse of power.
