E17 BJJ Weekly Newsletter - 21/04/2026

Hey team,

I’m back today and at the gym, and I’ll be back to teaching with you all from tomorrow. Looking forward to getting back into it and seeing everyone again.

Community Event – This Week

Don’t forget our E17 BJJ Movie Night happening this Saturday 25th April.

We’ll be watching Choke, the classic documentary featuring Rickson Gracie - a great insight into his mindset, approach to Jiu Jitsu, and what made him so dominant.

📍 At E17 BJJ🕖 From 7pm

Bring a pillow, bring some snacks, or we’ll get some pizzas in and enjoy the evening together.

If you’d like to come, just drop me a message via Whatsapp or on Instagram so I can get an idea of numbers.

Our last viewing night, this one will be a lot more cosy though!

NEW Gi Classes Reminder

Don’t forget about the new late Gi classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, led by Ryan and Hugo.

🕖 19:45 to 21:00

These are a great option if you finish work later or just want to get some extra training in during the week.

This Week

We’ll leave the structured focus for this week, but everything will be back in full swing from Monday with the usual curriculum and progression.

Tip of the Week "Show up, even when it’s not perfect"

Not every session will feel great. Some days you’ll be tired, distracted, or not quite on it. Those sessions still count.

Consistency isn’t about perfect training, it’s about turning up anyway.

See you on the mats,

-Mouncif
