Hi Team,
Welcome to the very first E17 BJJ Weekly Update - a quick check-in to keep you all in the loop on what's happening on and off the mats. These newsletters are here to share key announcements, class themes, upcoming events, and anything else to help you get the most out of your training and stay connected with out growing community.
Coach Update: Mouncif Away, Emmanuel (Manny) Steps in
From 14th April to the 24th April I will be away for 10 days. While I'm gone classes will be in excellent hands with Coach Emmanuel - a skilled brown belt with years of experience and a calm, clear teaching style. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, you're in good
hands.

Topic of the Week: Open Guard: Cross Collar & Sleeve
Following up on last week's focus on double sleeve control, this week we are shifting our attention to the cross collar & sleeve grip, a powerful and aggressive open guard position that leads into sweeps, wrestle ups and submissions. Expect drills, key concepts and live application across all classes.
Save the Date: Community Dinner - Friday 25th April
We're excited to host our first E17 BJJ community event - dinner after class on Friday 25th April. We'll head out together to a spot near Walthamstow Central for a relaxed evening of good food and better company, Venue TBA soon, but keep the date free!
A great chance to get to know each other a little better.
What's coming up?
Monday classes launch 28th April at 18:00
Two new 19:15 Classes coming in early May
Second wave of Founders Memberships are now available - know anyone who wants to try some BJJ? Every member who joins gets us closer to launching more classes! As a community based endeavour we will make sure that "A rising tide lifts all ships"
Thanks for being part of the journey so far - every session, every roll, every person makes this places what it is. See you when I'm back, on the mats!
